enrolling in Family LIves Worth Living
The student enrollment process consists of four steps: (1) submitting the completed Application for Enrollment form; (2) interviewing with the instructor, Lynn Englund; (3) committing to attend Family Lives Worth Living daily from July 10-27 and to pay a non-refundable portion of the program fee; and (4) receiving permission from the instructor to register in CI 5900-section 5 for 3 credits.

REGISTRATION
When your enrollment in Family Lives Worth Living 2006 has been accepted, you will receive a permission number from Lynn Englund to register for CI 5900–Special Topics in Family, Youth, and Community (section 5, 3 cr): Family Lives Worth Living. Registration opens April 10 for degree-seeking students at the University of Minnesota and April 17 for non-degree-seeking individuals and students enrolled at another college or university (all are welcome and eligible to register for May and Summer Session courses paying resident tuition). Students enrolled by May 1 must register into the course by May 20.

The costs for Family Lives Worth Living include:

$1,112.25 Professional School (e.g., M.Ed., $370.75 per credit)
$2,325.51 Graduate School (e.g. MA/PhD, $775.17 per credit)Fees:

Other fees may apply**
The number of single and double rooms available will vary with enrollment. If enrollments require double-occupancy, students who share rooms will receive a $150 program fee refund.
The University will bill the cost of tuition and fees in mid-June; the bill will be due on July 4.
Once you are enrolled in Family Lives Worth Living, should you decide not to register for CI 5900: Family LIves Worth Living or later withdraw from the course, you will still be charged for and will be responsible for paying $400 of the program fee. Should Family Lives Worth Living not enroll enough students for this offering to be taught, you will owe nothing.
Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the course. A small amount of spending money for toiletries and personal items may be needed.
